Wednesday

It wasn't a party. . . .it was a FIESTA!!

While we were home on spring break, we had a joint birthday party for the boys. Brek turned four on January 27th, but we didn't make it home to celebrate, so we had a little family of four shindig in Huntington. Since we were going to be home for Bae's birthday (he turned six on April 1st), we decided to kill two birds with one stone and have them together.

The boys about to blow out their candles.

Bae is six.

Brek is four.

The boys were mostly just thrilled to be back on the farm. It was an added plus to have most of their friends and family there. We've got so many kids just with cousins alone, we easily top 30 kids at a party. Luckily, they've got 16 acres to run around on!

The gang's all here!

Swimming in a sea of presents.

When the party was over, 'cept for the cleanup, which I didn't mind leaving to chat for a bit, I finally got to greet our guests. It seems like I was running around the whole time and barely got to speak to anyone, much less visit a little. We finally cleaned up and got the boys packed up in the car to go spend the night with Pops & Gigi. I was making sure they had on their seatbelts in the backseat and Bae grinned at me and said "Mama, this was the best birthday EVER!"

I totally agree.
