This is not totally unusual, Bae has played against girls before, but most of the previous games, the girls are usually checking their bracelets or playing with their hair. This one, however, was a "playa". Think a little miniature Mia Hamm. (OK, I'll admit, I've never actually seen Mia Hamm play, but I've heard good things about her!)
So, anyway, as she took the field, Bae eyeballed her rather suspiciously, then apparently decided he would ignore her completely. . . . .That is until she stole the ball from him and "dribbled" it down the field. Then, she became a force to be reckoned with.

When it was all said and done, Bae's team held her to three goals. But, I'm sure Bae thought that was three too many! I'm sure it won't be the last time a girl gives Bae the run-around, and I'm sure it won't be the last time I see that perplexed look on his face. But, as I told the little girl's mom, this is the reason you sign up for soccer. It's worth every penny to see the look on your son's face the first time he gets scored on . . .by a girl!
