We started out on a little hike on a trail that Joey and Shelby walk on every morning. The boys came alive! They are true "adventurers" and had great fun exploring, finding different insects, and getting wet in the creek.

Shelby slurping up water from the creek.

The boys on a downed-tree on which I banged my knee a few seconds later trying to hold a leashed dog and balance a camera and now I'm sporting a bruise the size of a tennis ball. Yay!

A "stolen" shot of Joey and Shelby.
After our little hike we headed to the main part of the park where Joey unveiled the surprises he had bought for the boys at the mall. These little gliders and rubber band powered planes. They put them together and promptly began "flying" them. And, to be honest, I'm not sure who had more fun. . . the boys. . or Joey.

Bae crashing his plane into Joey. "Sorry, Daddy."

I don't know how well you can see this picture, but all three of them are just grinning from ear to ear as they're watching that little airplane.

Wally looking on as Joey explains the ins and outs of flying planes to the boys.

Shelby just looking gorgeous, as usual.

By now, it was almost 5:30 pm and the boys were exhausted and hungry, so we went to grab some dinner before Joey had to be at the sleep clinic for his sleep study. (Ironically, he said he barely slept.)
Just before we left, I was able to snap a group shot of my boys. I do need to say as an introduction to this picture, that Shelby's training is going great. Joey has trained her to smile for the camera!

O.K. I'm kidding! But, it DOES look like she's smiling!
